You are your greatest healer.

In-Home Massage in Jupiter, Florida

She came to me high with anxiety and the mid to lower half of her back in agonizing pain.

I immediately felt her breath getting caught in her chest, and not entering her belly. I felt the anxiety but as I continued to work on her back, I could feel a deeper layer of sadness underneath it.

I also felt the strong resistance barrier that wanted to keep anyone out from feeling her and all the feelings she had clamped down in her body.

I had to dance with the resistance and offer insight gradually. I know she was on my table to feel the feelings and give her body the permission to let go, even with the wall present.

When I got to her hips, I asked if there was anything that she was feeling sad about lately. She said yes. I continued to work and didn’t want to push it, but could now feel her feeling it and tending to the sadness as it flowed through waves of emotion as I continued to check in with her experience.

As we got to her psoas in her belly, it was palpable — the sad little girl that needed to know it was safe to exist here. I said that her body needed to know that it was safe to let go, and didn’t need to keep holding it all together.

My client still didn’t show much emotion in her face, but her system started to soften and the guarded wall started to melt slowly.

When the session ended, she burst into tears. She told me what was happening internally, and how she got in touch with her younger self during the session. This little girl would go into nature where she felt happiest and a sense of belonging and safety.

She asked how to nurture this one moving forward.

I told her that her young one knows better than I do. I offered that she take time to journal and be with this one and ask her what she needs from her.

She had to be the parent to this one and make her younger self just as much of a priority as her own children.

Your healing moves forward only by the degree that you are willing to meet all the parts of yourself — even the tender and hurt ones.

Even the parts of you that make your body ache because you have been distracting yourself and not wanting to feel them for so long.

Even the parts that you were conditioned not to show to anyone or to actually have them witness you as soft and messy and imperfect.

You are here to bring yourself home, and be witnessed by others in that journey who can serve as a mirror for you.

You know what you are ready to let go of, and what version of you is moving forward.

You are your own greatest healer.

I would be honored to be a part of your body journey this Fall season.

I hope to see you on my table soon, either in your home or in studio at Spirit Well Sensory Lounge in Stuart.
